The owners of Keryann have painstakingly restored a beautiful old
farmhouse for themselves, as well as two stone cottages which are adjacent to
the farmhouse. All three buildings date back to 1878, and have been restored
and refurbished to a high standard. B2947 is part of one large stone cottage
which has been divided into two small cottages (see B2948/sleeps 3). Cottage 1
(B2947) has two bedrooms (1double + 1 twin) and cottage 2 (B2948) has 1 double
bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The comfortable living/dining room
has beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and a stone fireplace. A well equipped
corner kitchen is situated at one end of the living/dining room whilst upstairs
there are two light and airy bedrooms, one double and one twin, with a shared
bathroom. Outside there is a sun terrace where a table and chairs have been
provided for dining. The extensive grounds (shared with the cottage next door)
are well maintained and extend around the property providing plenty of space
for children to play but also quiet corners for those seeking privacy. Opposite
the two small cottages can be found one large cottage which stands in its own
garden (B2946/sleeps 7), making this an ideal location for families wishing to
holiday together. There are lovely views out across open farmland and to the
valley below. All three properties in Keryann can be rented out and would be
ideal for several families wishing to holiday together. Keryann is just a short
drive from the coast where many beaches and coves can be explored, in addition
to charming fishing villages. Ergué-Gabéric has a choice of
supermarkets, and a market on Tuesday and Fridays. Quimper, which is only 7 kms
away, has a medieval centre and a wide choice of shops and
services.

This stone cottage,
which used to be the stables, is attached to a manor house which dates back to
the 18th century. Previously a working cider farm, the cottage is set in a
courtyard beyond which are 25 acres of apple orchards open to exploration.
Traditionally furnished, the typical large farmhouse style kitchen/living room
has a beamed ceiling, tiled floors and an open fireplace. One double bedroom is
off the living room, separated by a curtain. To the rear of the cottage there
is a lovely half acre garden surrounded by a stone wall. The property is a few
hundred metres from the centre of Ergue-Gaberic, a good-sized village with a
range of shops. You are only 5 kms from Quimper which has a medieval centre and
a wide choice of shops and services. The nearest beaches are at Benodet or

Situated at the end of a
lane in the heart of the countryside, this stone cottage provides an ideal
holiday base. Originally one large farmhouse, the owner has worked hard to
renovate the building to provide a family home for himself with the holiday
accommodation adjacent. Throughout, the cottage is reminiscent of its origins
with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and tiled floors. The spacious living
room is light and airy and has a raised stone fireplace. The kitchen is small
yet attractively decorated and well equipped. The bathroom (wc) is downstairs
and also houses the washing machine. Upstairs there is a 2nd wc, the large
double bedroom which also has a single bed and the single bedroom. All of these
rooms are decorated in a style which is sympathetic to their surroundings.
Beyond the cottage, there are miles of open countryside to explore with golf,
horse riding and beaches within close proximity. |
